Angola Surf Trip

The first HEYBA trip along Angola’s Atlantic coast

Spend 10 days chasing uncrowded waves along Angola’s wild coastline.

BACKGROUND

MORE POWER. MORE FUN

South Atlantic swell. Long points. A coastline that makes you want to keep looking.

In 2027, HEYBA is heading to Angola for the first time.

Most of this trip will be friends and people already close to HEYBA. But a few places may open for members and other surfers who want to come along.

First trip. Small group. A lot still to find out.

WHY ANGOLA?

THIS COAST HAS OUR ATTENTION.

Angola sits on a long stretch of Atlantic coast exposed to powerful swell from the south.

There are already waves here that surfers travel for — including long powerful point breaks — but international surf tourism is still relatively small.

And that’s what makes the rest of the coastline interesting.

When you combine swell, coastline and very little surf traffic, you start wondering what else is out there.

We don’t know yet.

That’s why we’re going.

MOSTLY FRIENDS

A FEW PLACES MAY OPEN.

This first departure is mainly being put together for friends and people already around HEYBA.

But we’re keeping the door slightly open.

If a few places remain, we may offer them to HEYBA members and other surfers who feel like a good fit for the trip.

You should be comfortable surfing independently and equally comfortable with changing plans, long days travelling and a first trip that hasn’t been polished into a finished product yet.

We’re not looking for customers to fill seats.

We’re looking for a few good people to come with us.

The Door Is Open!
