HEYBA often takes people to places where surf communities already exist.
So we work closely with local surfers, guides, accommodation, drivers and other businesses — and try to make sure our presence creates value locally.
LOCAL FIRST.
Where possible, we spend locally.
We work with people who know the coast, the waves and the communities better than we ever will.
That means local guides, locally run accommodation, drivers, restaurants, photographers and other partners.
And when we want to contribute beyond that, we ask first.
What would actually be useful here?
SHARE THE STOKE.
Surfing gets expensive quickly.
Boards break. Leashes snap. Fins disappear. And in places where surf equipment is difficult or expensive to get, a perfectly usable old board can make a real difference.
Share the Stoke is our way of helping more people get access to the water.
We collect usable surfboards, fins, leashes and other equipment and bring it with us when there is a genuine local need.
Not whatever we happen to want to give away.
